| The battle is "fought" on a chessboard. Every time someone is "killed" a dancer dressed in black tosses a black scarf over their head and takes them off the chessboard. The Christians are fighting the Moors and the moors win. El Cid (who is Spain's famous warrior knight) looses his only son in the battle on the 10th of August 1097.) |

| All the lights are lite torches. |

| The monks are leading the procession and knights are carrying the body of El Cid's son. |
