Harvest of grapes and souls.

Grape Harvest in September near Quero, Spain.

We witnessed the sealing of Teodoro and Alejandra in the Madrid Temple 13 September 2014.

 Mechanical harvester.

Delivering the payload at the winery.

The Quesada family from Tomelloso. This family is originally from Ecuador. The young boys are twins.

Hermana and Elder Wiscombe outside a "Bombo". This is a cool place to rest in the hot summer. Made without mortar. Built by rocks cleared from the land it is built on. Unique to this part of Spain.

Inside a Bombo. Maida and Sister Wiscombe. The walls are very thick to keep it cool.

This is an almond tree. The outside shell has soft fuzz on it.

These are green grapes growing on bushes.

Vanessa is helping me show you the dark (grape) grapes. Some grapes are grown on bushes and some are grown off the ground on wires strung between poles.
This is the oldest known Roman damn in Spain.

I can't believe this guy!! I guess he just wanted to get in the picture!  :)
This is the beautiful Spanish countryside. On the hill in the back is the Consuegra Castle. You can see rows and rows of grapevines and olive trees. Also, almond trees every once in a while.

Dining out in Spain!! Every thing comes with a wonderful lettuce, tomato and onion salad. I'm having lamb chops for the first time in my life and Elder Wiscombe is having steak. We are in the city of Consuegra.

La Mancha District Primary Pioneer Program
A GREAT SUCCESS!!

Elder Wiscombe, windmills and Consuegra Castle (Aug 2014)
Every year in August the people of Consuegra, Spain dress up in medieval clothing and entertain people from all over the world. We really enjoyed our trip to Consuegra.
